DubWeaver does not collect your personal data. It has no account, no
analytics, no advertising, and no server that your material passes
through. Your video, your audio and your projects stay on your device.
We say this plainly because it is unusual, and because it is the
product: the AI that removes the original voices from a film runs on
your device, which is what makes the rest of this policy so short.
Nothing. DubWeaver has no user accounts, collects no identifiers,
and sends no usage or analytics data anywhere. We cannot see your
projects, your recordings or your exports, because they never reach us.
All of it lives in the app's private storage on your device. Deleting
the app deletes all of it.
DubWeaver asks for microphone access only to record dub takes. The
microphone is opened when you arm a take and closed when the take ends.
What it captures is written to your device while the take is recording
and goes only into that take on your timeline. Recordings are never
transmitted anywhere.
DubWeaver asks to read the video and audio you choose to import. It
reads only the files you pick, and it copies them into its own storage
so that later edits do not depend on the original still being there.
DubWeaver makes exactly one kind of network request: downloading the
voice separation model, once, the first time you use that feature. The
model is fetched from a public file host and verified against a known
checksum. That request carries nothing about you beyond what any file
download carries — your IP address is visible to the host serving the
file, as it is for every download on the internet.
Everything else in the app — separating voices, mixing, rendering,
exporting — happens on your device with no network at all.
When something fails unexpectedly, the error and where it happened are
written to a small log in the app's private storage so that it can be
looked at if you ask us for help. This log is not sent anywhere. You
can read it yourself in the app under About, and it is deleted with the
app.
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Google Play or the Apple App
Store. We never see or store your payment details. The stores tell the
app only whether a subscription is currently active. We keep a small
record on your device of whether a subscription has ever been active,
so that if yours ends you can still open and export your own work.
Google and Apple handle that transaction under their own privacy
policies:
DubWeaver is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone,
of any age.
We do not sell, share, rent or transfer personal data, because we do not
have any.
Rights such as access, correction, deletion and portability (under the
GDPR, the CCPA and similar laws) apply to data a company holds about
you. We hold none. Your material is on your device, under your control:
you can export it, copy it, or delete it by deleting the app.
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this
address with a new date. Material changes will also be noted in the
app's release notes.
